I don't know how well my garden is going to do this year. It has been raining constantly here. We need some sun desperately. Today it's only 64 degrees. I think I'm going to lose my peppers and melons. Ruth

oh and you forgot..all the pretty marigolds:) yes that sunflower is about 10 ft tall now huh? thing is the weather here is so hot ,and Florida soil can be rather unforgiving sometimes.

Clara, I really like raised beds it seems it's easier as far as week control goes. All of mine are raised some only about a foot but I like them raised some. So at least you had some cheery flowers!

Clara, is your garden doing any better now? Mine's been off to a weak start and I'm hoping for better as soon as the season progresses....well, all we can do is hope. I do have some before and after pictures of my yard this year so I do see some hope. Come visit..

Do you raise any of your own food? If so, what?
I did this year. Having been inspired by some of the garden issues in small town living I gave it a try and had a great crop of collard greens and okra. Plan on doing it again next spring.
