I usually use monks cloth of primtive linen for my backing...i don't like the burlap much, i find it to hard to work with...

I love your hooked rugs, each one is cuter than the next. I have wanted to do this for the longest time, I found a book with old designs at a yard sale and it looked like fun.

We've had a real cold snap here in northwest missouri over the past week; hopefully it will warm up a bit; actually had a fire going for the first time a few nights ago...i think we even had some snow flurries...yikes!
The trees are just starting to turn and it really is pretty...though I hate to see the warm weather end; we had a really great summer, not too hot at all and lots of rain...
