I felt that it would be fun to start a Christmas Garland Swap. I sold our Christmas tree last summer when we were planning on selling our house, and sold heaps of our Christmas decor, but thought it would be nice and fun to have something handmade and unique to decorate with for the Holidays.
So, I thought..what about a Christmas Garland exchange. !

What we will do is create a 9 ft long garland for our partners using anything from tinsel, jute, yo-yo embellishments, anything that our hearts desire.
Total creativity and fun to create a unique/special garland to decorate with.
These garlands can be used on a tree, or hung on a mantle, or draped over a window...well..you get the idea.

Inspirational ideas by looking on flickr.com
or by going to etsy.com and doing a search under the title "Handmade" and typing in keyword : garland.
This will help you to get inspired and give you ideas.

Hey everyone!!!! Where's all the pictures of your Christmas garlands?? I'd love to see what everyone made and so far I'm the only one who posted any pictures :(

Florence, I received my garland yesterday. I love it! Yours is still languishing on my hall table, I will get to the post office tomorrow, I was laid low with a bug for about a week. Sorry to be such a slug. As soon as I get yours assembled I'll hang it up and take a picture. Thank you so much, it is just lovely.
